Revise expands its Consultancy Services to include Emissions and Discharges

March 23, 2012

Emissions and Discharges are a key impact area for many organisations, and if not appropriately controlled they can have devastating environmental consequences, including air pollution, land contamination, surface water pollution and groundwater pollution.

As such, emissions and discharges are also one of the most heavily regulated environmental areas in the UK and significant legislation and guidance have been developed to try and control activities that generate them. Much of this legislation can often appear confusing and unclear, however, making it difficult for organisations to determine whether they are legally compliant, let alone meeting best practice.

Importantly for many organisations is that emissions and discharges are also considered a key impact area within most Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and therefore demonstration of their effective management is also required in order to successfully achieve certification to an EMS.

Revise can provide expert advice in auditing your emissions and discharges by identifying relevant activities which generate them, identifying and interpreting the applicable legislation and guidance and providing bespoke recommendations and advice on how your organisation can ensure compliance, prevent pollution and work towards best practice. We can also provide tailored training services within this area, and if you would like to know further information then please just get in touch.
